MANUAL THERAPY
Corrective Exercise
CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENTS

Adjustments are small, quick thrusts targeting specific joints in the spine and extremities. These are used to decrease pain, restore range of motion in the joint and improve biomechanical function of the body.

Manual therapy

Manual therapy

Myofascial Release

Myofascial tissues surround and support the muscles throughout your body. With this therapy, it will reduce pain by easing tension in those trigger points.

Cupping Therapy

Involves the use of small suction cups to improve blood flow to a specific area. This technique decreases muscle tension in the area surrounding the cups.

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)

Special designed instruments made of stainless steel that detect and treat areas of soft tissue, adhesions, and inflammation. This technique increases blood flow, to help restore proper movement. Muscle scraping helps to facilitate the recovery process and alleviate muscle soreness.

After your initial evaluation, specific manual therapy will be recommended to best fit your goals. These therapies could include:

Kinesiotaping

Kinesiotape is a strong, elastic type of tape that can be used in body awareness and provide stability. Kinesiotape can be used in competition, training and every day life. Taping is also effective in reducing inflammation and to decrease swelling.

CORRECTIVE EXERCISE

Corrective Exercise

Rehab is a crucial part of our treatment at MMCR. We use all other treatment methods to improve biomechanics and decrease pain. We use rehab exercises to target the cause of pain and dysfunction, so you can stay in your best condition for as long as possible.

Initial Exam

The assessment is the most important visit. We assess, and do not guess. It is in this visit that we go through a detailed history, and exam to determine the cause of what brings you in. The examination will consist of movement assessment, orthopedic assessment, neurological assessment, as well as soft tissue and joint motion assessment.

What to expect

TREATMENT PLAN

Everyone is different. That is why there are no ‘cookie cutter, one size fits all’ treatment plans. We quickly find the cause and work to get you feeling better as soon as possible. We value transparency in our office, and would never recommend more than what we thought you needed, to be better than before.

FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENTS

Appointment sessions are 30 minutes of 1-on-1 treatment with the Doctor. Appointments incorporate a combination of chiropractic care, soft tissue manual therapy, as well as functional corrective exercise. This multifaceted approach of care addresses the root cause and gets you back on track to do what you love.

Our goal is to understand why you feel the way you do, treat the root cause, and build resilience. This means less time in our office, and more time doing what you love.
