What should I expect on my first visit?

Lasting around 60 minutes, 1 on 1 with the Doctor, we will take a deep dive in getting to know you as a patient and person. The first part will be all about understanding your complaint, and doing a full movement based assessment. We will then educate you on what the root cause is, and answer any questions. We will discuss a plan of action to get you back on track as soon as possible. 
All follow up treatment sessions are around 30 minutes, 1-on-1 with the Doctor, and are custom visits for YOU. Treatment generally consists of chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue/muscle work, and corrective exercise.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothes that you can move best in. Also, make sure your area of complaint is easily accessible. For example, if you have a shoulder complaint, wear a tank top. Knee pain, wear shorts.After treatment we will discuss a plan of action to get you back on track as soon as possible.

How do I schedule an appointment?

You can schedule online through our website online booking portal. If you have never been a patient you will choose “New Patient Appointment” you will be directed to fill out online intake paperwork.  For any questions, you can always email us at info@michiganmvmnt.com, or call us at 517-295-1628.

Do I have to be a member of the gym, in order to see you?

No! You do not have to be a member of Legacy 517 to be a patient. Our clinic in located in a fitness setting because we believe movement is medicine. We are not your average chiropractor, we want to understand your biomechanics by seeing how you move. Being in this fitness setting allows us to treat, as well as use functional exercise/rehabilitation to give you the best possible outcome. 

Do you take insurance?

We do not take insurance directly, however you can still use your insurance.
On request, we can provide a Superbill after each  visit that you would send to your insurance. Depending on your out-of-network benefits, and deductible, you will typically get a percentage of reimbursement based on your chiropractic coverage, however this is not guarenteed. We do accept HSA cards.

Why are you an out of network provider?



We made the intentional choice to operate as a cash-based and out-of-network practice. Our care is to put you first, not based on what your insurance pays for.  Insurance often restricts how long you can spend with your doctor. We prioritize your care by giving you as much time as necessary to ensure the best treatment. This decision comes from our commitment to provide the highest quality of care to our patients. By being out of network, we can prioritize individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs without being dictated by third-party regulations. This approach allows us to allocate more time to hands-on therapy, comprehensive rehabilitation, and personalized attention. This results in better outcomes and improved patient satisfaction. We believe that by focusing on quality over quantity, we can truly make a difference in our patients’ lives and help them achieve optimal health and wellness.
